Neutral, calming decor, lots of plants, and a focus on cleanliness, insense and candles make it a restful sanctuary for work or relaxation.
The flat is equipped with fast Wi‑Fi, a dedicated workspace, fresh linens and a well‑stocked kitchen. It’s about a 10‑minute walk to Tottenham Hale station and close to local cafés, pubs, restaurants, the canal and Walthamstow Wetlands, ideal for those who want a quiet base with easy access to nature and transportation links into the city and Stanstead Airport.
What do you love most about your home?: The south facing living room with its tree‑filled view, it really feels like a little village hideout. Morning birdsong (we often spot rare species) and the dappled summer light through the windows make the space feel warm and magical. The bedroom is relaxing, clean, crisp and warm, a restful spot to unwind after a long day.
How would you describe the style or feel of your home?: Warm and cosy yet light and airy, a calm, minimal home with thoughtful, eclectic touches. Downstairs features laminated wood floors and neutral tones with a gentle cottage vibe in the kitchen. The living space has Venetian blinds by day and warm lamps by evening to keep a relaxed, snug atmosphere.
A soft pink on the stairwell lifts the energy as you move upstairs. The bedroom is bright and airy with a partial pastel‑yellow wall and a deliberately minimalist layout to highlight the king‑size bed. The bathroom feels fresh and elegant with a large bathtub, shower and classic black‑and‑white tiles.
Minimal and calm best capture the overall energy, with small, warm details that make the place feel welcoming.
Are there any ethical, lifestyle, or household practices guests should know about or be respectful of?: This is a vegetarian home, so no meat to be cooked in the flat. We have a clear recycling system in the kitchen that we ask guests to use, and I provide organic, natural toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, hand wash and soap) you’re welcome to use. Quiet, respectful behaviour is appreciated, especially in the mornings and late evenings.

Is there anything about your home that wouldn't be obvious from photos?: There’s a sunny balcony for morning coffee, plus a great bathroom with both a roomy shower and a bathtub. From the outside the maisonette looks modest, but inside it’s bright, quiet and leafy, the neighbourhood is surprisingly green with lots of walking paths and easy access to the canal, Tottenham Marshes, Walthamstow Wetlands, Markfield Park.

THE AREA
It’s very quiet and safe on the estate, in contrast to the hustle and bustle of Tottenham. There’s loads of handy amenities close by: Tottenham Hale Retail Park (Lidl, TK Maxx, Boots), plus an Asda and Tesco Local with a cash machine. Coffee spots include Starbucks, Costa and Pret. For food, the family‑run Genet Café serves excellent, good‑value Ethiopian dishes with great meat and vegetarian options, and the Ferry Boat Inn is a lovely canal‑side pub with a large garden. Tottenham High Road is about a 15‑minute walk away with a wide range of restaurants, cafés and shops.
