THE HOME
This spacious, Victorian two-bedroom, two story, maisonette house has a comfortable double room available to guests. On the ground floor of the home is the open plan living and dining area. There is a TV with Netflix and Disney + as well as a record player and the hosts vinyl collection. The dining room can double as a working from home space. Through the dining room is the large kitchen with all the appliances and utensils to prepare your meals as well as the washing machine. The recently renovated bathroom is through the kitchen and is bright and inviting including a bath tub and rainfall shower. The back garden is the perfect place to relax on a sunny day and evening, with deck chairs located in the shed for use.
On the second floor are the two bedrooms, host and guests. The guest room has a comfortable double bed with window behind, giving the room lots of light. There is cupboard space to store your belongings as well as side tables and a mirror.
The home has been decorated to feel comfortable, relaxed and completely at home when you are inside, the perfect retreat from the fast paced city.
THE AREA
The home is located in a residential area of Plaistow/Canning Town making it very quiet and safe. The street the home is located was meant to be demolished during the Blitz but was saved at the last minute, meaning the home and the surrounding ones are historic in the area!
The area is experiencing a growth period with Canning Town going through a lot of development in the last few years with the area now including two major clubs and a number of shops and restaurants opening by the station. There is a corner store a few minutes from the home for all the necessities.
There is free parking on the street outside the home, it is only charged Monday-Friday 1000-1400 but visitor passes can be arranged for a small fee.
The nearest stations are Plaistow on the Hammersmith and City and District lines and West Ham for the DLR, Jubilee, Hammersmith and City and District lines. There is a bus from 2 streets away that goes directly to Stratford and Walthamstow. The Greenway cycle path is a short distance from the home which takes you into Olympic Park for Westfield Stratford or Hackney Wick on the other side of the park. The latter is fun for bars and people-watching, particularly in summer.
